The Florida summer heat is here! Be aware that heat stress can happen to dogs and cats, too. Signs of heat stress include heavy panting, glazed eyes, rapid pulse, vomiting, unsteadiness, staggering, or a deep red or purple tongue. If you observe some of these symptoms, immediately lower your pets core body temperature by applying cool (not cold) water to his body or apply cold towels or ice packs to the head, neck & chest only. Let him drink a little water or lick ice cubes, and get him to the vet ASAP.
2010 is ticking right along - don’t waste a minute of it. On FolioFlorida.com, you’ll find a wide variety of Florida festivals, museum exhibits, theatre, dance, sporting events, charity fundraisers, concerts, community events and more - definitely something for everyone. Orlando has great theme parks, but that’s certainly not all we have - enjoy everything that Orlando and the surrounding area has to offer!
