All I Wanna Do

Some songs remind us of summers past - having fun, goofing off, going to the beach. A few classics that come to mind are "All I Wanna Do" by Sheryl Crow, "Under the Boardwalk" by the Drifters, "(Sittin’ on) The Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding and "Love Shack" by The B-52s. The themes of these songs all speak to relaxing, having fun, doing what you want, etc. - in other words, what we all dream of! There are lots and lots of great events this month that can satisfy those summer cravings and make new memories.

In addition to all kinds of fun 4th of July celebrations, July brings us great summer theatre such as Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (UCF), Sleuth (Breakthrough Theatre), Annie (Theatre Downtown), Ragtime (Bay Street Players) and Splash and The Little Red Riding Hood Show (Orlando Shakes), music from the Summer Series by Orlando Philharmonic, the 18th Annual Celebrity Mascot Games, the chilly Sub-Zero show at Orlando Science Center, and the fantastic Target Family Theatre Festival, put on by Orlando Repertory Theatre.  Search events by date or browse through a whole month. For more info, check out the website of the event.
