Please join us for the 2nd Annual Red Carpet Celebrity Gala! The festivities will include an elegant dinner, entertainment, live and silent auction, in addition to bringing you the satisfaction of knowing you have participated in raising funds for a very worthy cause.
Lee Cockerell, former executive vice president of operations at Walt Disney World, will speak.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to CRERI to fund research that will help develop an early detection test for colon cancer, purchase many new devices needed for routine colorectal procedures, and also provide community awareness on a variety of colon health issues.

The unexpected, the eerie and the uncanny will be introduced in this fresh and surprising view of American illustration, highlighting some of the exotic adventures, fantastic fables and roman­tic encounters told in magazines and books published between 1914 and 1995. Drawn from the acclaimed Korshak Collection, the 50 original works feature 22 pioneering illustrators includ­ing N.C. Wyeth, J. Allen St. John, Frank R. Paul, Hannes Bok, Margaret Brundage and Frank Frazetta.

The leaders featured in this exhibit - local people who have carried Dr. King’s dream into the churches, schools, businesses and homes of Central Florida - have given generously of their time and talents. Through reading and hearing their stories, we are witnesses to their history. With their words and actions, they teach us about courage.

Discover new ways of seeing characters as defined by their costumes in this exhibition featuring more than 40 costumes and objects spanning 60 years from Star Wars, Blade Runner, Terminator 2, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, Ghostbusters II, Batman, and many more of the most popular films and television shows of all time.

Out of this World examines how costume design incorporates color, style, scale, materials, historical traditions, and cultural cues to help performers and audiences engage, in new or accepted ways, with the characters being portrayed.

The 3,500 square foot exhibition features the following items:
- Hat worn by Margaret Hamilton as Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz"
- Jacket worn by Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade"
- Leather jacket worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger in "The Terminator"
- Embroidered robe worn by actor Joe Turkel as Eldon Tyrell in "Blade Runner"
- Darth Vader cape, Jedi robe, and lightsaber from the "Star Wars" trilogy
- Tunic and Sash worn by William Shatner as Captain Kirk in "Star Trek"
- Costume worn by Dan Aykroyd as Dr. Raymond Stantz in "Ghostbusters II"

Almost Alice: New Illustrations of Wonderland by Maggie Taylor - organized by the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art, University of Florida, Gainesville - Tom Southall, Curator

In recent years, Maggie Taylor has emerged as one of the most accomplished and innovative masters of digital imaging processes. Using sources ranging from snapshots to 19th-century daguerreotypes and tintypes, she constructs fantastic, surreal narratives. Taylor’s composite images give fresh insight as a new set of illustrations for Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Art collector Edward Wales Root acquired more than 227 paintings and works on paper that provide a valuable record of the artists who emerged during the "American Century". The works were created from 1896-97 to circa 1955 and were donated to the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute in 1957.  They provide a visual record of how radically the artist’s vision was altered as a response to the many changes that were taking place in society.  Drawn from the collection of Edward Wales Root, the exhibit will feature paintings created by Edward Hopper, Stuart Davis, Arthur Dove and Jackson Pollock.

In recent years, Maggie Taylor has emerged as one of the most accomplished and innovative masters of digital imaging processes. Using sources ranging from snapshots to 19th-century daguerreotypes and tintypes, she constructs fantastic, surreal narratives. Taylor’s composite images give fresh insight as a new set of illustrations for Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Art collector Edward Wales Root acquired more than 227 paintings and works on paper that provide a valuable record of the artists who emerged during the "American Century". The works were created from 1896-97 to circa 1955 and were donated to the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute in 1957.  They provide a visual record of how radically the artist’s vision was altered as a response to the many changes that were taking place in society.  Drawn from the collection of Edward Wales Root, the exhibit will feature paintings created by Edward Hopper, Stuart Davis, Arthur Dove and Jackson Pollock.
